Pilsen Polka
In 1930, "Pilsen Polka" was the first record that Romy Gosz played trumpet on, after only six months on the instrument (after switching from piano)! What a great, original sound. Rooted in european folk music but with a contemporary awareness of Duke Elllington and popular music of the day.
Here is a 1946 re-recording of the traditional Bohemian tune, with Romy leading the group:
